Gaza and Lebanon crisis response

MCC is providing emergency relief with partners in Gaza, Lebanon and the West Bank including food packages, hygiene items and bedding as well as cash transfers to displaced families in need. In Gaza, MCC continues to respond with food assistance amidst severely restricted humanitarian access. In Lebanon, MCC is increasing support to partners for those recently displaced by the escalation of the regional conflict. In the West Bank, MCC is providing support for families including food and physical rehabilitation services for those affected by the increased violence. 

MCC laments and condemns the violence and mourns lives lost. We continue to advocate to the Canadian government, the U.S. government and the United Nations community to speak out and encourage an immediate ceasefire and safe paths for humanitarian aid, and to hold all parties to the same standard of international law. People in the U.S. can take action here. Canadians can build on their government’s recent call for ceasefire by using the letter-writing tool.
