The Kindred Credit Union Centre for Peace Advancement at Conrad Grebel University College is holding several events during Peace Week from September 21-30. As a part of Peace Week, MCC is holding a short webinar series about the peaceful response to talks of annexation across the border.

“Seek the peace and prosperity of the city… Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” (Jeremiah 29:7, NIV) Come explore the meaning of shalom as a wholistic sense of peace that is not just the absence of violence, but the presence of life-giving relationships and dignity for all people.

Indigenous thought-leader and justice catalyst Sarah Augustine will inspire and equip us with insights from decades of practical work on peacebuilding and dismantling oppressive systems at the community level. She will be joined by local advocates on two evenings, September 29 with Mennonite Action and October 1 with Adrian Jacobs.
