The historic drought in Southern Africa, which started in early 2024, has decimated crops and hit livestock production hard, causing widespread food shortages and affecting livelihoods. Your donation provides emergency food baskets to families in need.
Drought and displacement
The drought is critically affecting food security across Southern Africa. It is expected that hundreds of thousands in the region will be displaced because of the severe drought.
With your help, MCC has provided emergency food to over three thousand families in Zambia and Zimbabwe. This includes emergency food baskets with maize, beans, oil, and salt.
