APPLICATION DEADLINE
Submitted through this webform, by email or postmarked in the mail by September 30.
ELIGIBILITY
- Student must be either entering or continuing full-time studies (minimum of 18 credit hours per academic year).
- Students should evidence a history of commitment to service, volunteerism and engagement within their community.
- Students must demonstrate how their education and career objectives connect one or more of the following focus areas: relief, development, peace, climate change mitigation/adaptation, restorative justice or reconciliation.
- Criteria two (2) and three (3) above are required to be expressed and demonstrated in the scholarship application form and submission of a supporting essay (500-750 words) or short video (2-3 minutes).
- Two (2) faculty/teacher references which include an honest assessment of the applicant’s skills and interests as they relate to the intent of the scholarship; the relationship between the applicant and the referee; and the referee’s name and address printed on official letterhead).
- Letters of reference must be sent directly by referees to scholarships@mccmb.ca or sent by mail to Joni Sawatzky, MCC Manitoba Scholarship Fund, 100-140 Bannatyne Avenue, Winnipeg, Man., R3B 3C5.
- The scholarships will be awarded in October. All applicants will be notified of their application decision.
- Current MCC staff or children of MCC staff who qualify for tuition benefits are not eligible for the scholarship.
- Students who submit an application consent to receiving email and print communications from MCC Manitoba about student opportunities such as, but not limited to: student seminars, events, programs like Serving and Learning Together (SALT) and job, volunteer and practicum opportunities.
