Circle of Friends

In British Columbia and Ontario, Circle of Friends supports individuals and families transitioning from homelessness and shelter-living back into the community.

Friendship makes a difference

Circles are small groups of two to three volunteers and an individual transitioning out of homelessness who meet for a couple of hours each week. These Circles create a network of support for people in transition, with activities tailored to meet individual needs: one week a Circle may work on a budget, and the next they may go for coffee and visit.

Ways to support Circle of Friends:

Volunteer

We need volunteers to become part of Circles and to help support individuals making this transition. No special experience or background is required to volunteer, but volunteers should be compassionate, patient, and good listeners.
