Organization to Develop our Villages (ODOV) builds capacity in community organizations, especially those representing marginalized groups. Its mission is to improve food security, increase household incomes, promote peace, and encourage good governance in rural communities. Visitors can explore agricultural cooperatives, cyclical farming households, vocational training programs, and fishpond initiatives.
Khmer Vulnerability Aid Organization helps childhood refugees deported from the United States integrate into Khmer society, a culture many of them have no memory of.
Peace Bridges Organization trains peacebuilders to prevent and resolve conflicts and teaches nonviolent strategies for church and community leaders.
Women Peace Makers aims to promote a better understanding and respect for women’s rights, children’s rights, and peaceful conflict resolution methods.

Tour participants must meet the following physical requirements and have the ability to:
- Walk one kilometer on flat terrain.
- Walk on moderately inclined, unpaved surfaces.
- Carry or pull personal luggage through an airport or up/down at least one flight of stairs.
- Navigate at least one flight of stairs.
- Board and disembark buses or taxis without the use of a ramp.
- Tolerate high levels of air pollution in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
- Endure overland travel by van or bus on uneven, bumpy roads.
Please note that many of the locations we will visit are not wheelchair accessible.
- Weather: November in Cambodia typically experiences high temperatures and humidity, with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 30°C. While air conditioning will be available in accommodations and coach buses, there may be some spaces without air conditioning. Please be prepared for varying conditions.
- Dietary Preferences: The Cambodian diet prominently features pork, and while a vegan diet can be accommodated, it may present some challenges due to limited options.
- Food Allergies: Navigating food allergies can be difficult in Cambodia due to the risk of cross-contamination and the widespread use of ingredients such as soy, tomato, peanuts, and citrus.
- Restroom Breaks: The MCC team will strive to ensure restroom breaks every two hours, with access to Western-style toilets. While these are readily available in Phnom Penh, they may be more limited during partner visits in other areas.
