Take a trip back in time to the year 1908 experiencing the life of a rural Mennonite student in the one room schoolhouse at the Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre in Jordan Station. Through historical and current reflections, learning and dialogue, we'll consider the intersections of Mennonite settlement and Indigenous histories in Niagara, and gain a deeper understanding of our shared past and the invitation to the work of reconciliation.

9:30am - 12:30pm: A Day in the Life of a Rural Student
12:30pm - 2:00pm: Lunch and Learning with Halley Irwin of the Niagara Regional Native Centre. Explore the histories, perspective and contemporary realities of Indigenous people in Niagara
2:00pm - 3:00pm: Virtual Tour of the Mohawk Institute Residential School and Q&A, facilitated by the Woodland Cultural Centre
3:00pm-4:00pm: Closing reflection and considering what's next
