In places like Ukraine, the need for emergency relief is escalating by the day.

Ongoing conflict has forced many families to flee their homes — and winter has made them even more vulnerable as they struggle without basic essentials like warm shelter.

In Ukraine at this time of year, temperatures can drop to as low as -15°C. Power only comes on for a few hours at a time.

That’s why we’re working to ease the suffering of our global neighbours with emergency relief such as portable heaters.

These heaters, which cost about $82, make a huge difference for people like Olena.  

Olena is one of Ukraine’s many internally displaced people, and she was so relieved to receive a portable heater from MCC.

“You can’t imagine how much your support means … understanding that we are not left behind, that we are not alone in our grief,” Olena says.
