Men Listening, Men Talking: A Men's Retreat

The story of the Good Samaritan is one of trauma and rescue. It invites us as men to explore our own journeys and encounters with enemies and apathy, compassion and community. At this retreat, we will reflect on this and more in a context of worship, prayer, conversation, and listening to the Spirit.

Will you let me be your neighbor?

Men are invited to participate in this retreat that will focus on building healthy relationships of peace in their daily roles as fathers, sons, husbands and neighbors.

Our guest speaker will be Arthur Boers, who has pastored in urban, suburban, rural and inner city settings in Ontario and the Midwest. He has taught at several seminaries. A priest in the Anglican Church of Canada, he is also a Benedictine oblate.

Discussions will be drawing insights from his book "Shattered: A Son Picks Up the Pieces of his Father's Rage," as he reflects on the impact of generational violence upon his childhood.

As you pursue lives of faith, peace and non-violence, you won't want to miss this retreat.

The retreat is intended for men ages 18+. The retreat is being put on in partnership with Hidden Acres Mennonite Camp and Retreat Centre. Register here.
