Migration & Resettlement
MCC Manitoba partners with Manitobans to respond to the needs of refugees and displaced people around the world. We facilitate private refugee sponsorship, provide educational resources and advocate for fair legislation.

Welcome the Stranger
MCC connects sponsors with displaced people worldwide through a cost-shared refugee sponsorship program (BVOR), matching refugees with no prior ties to Canada with private sponsorship groups. Sponsors provide 12 months of social, emotional and settlement support, with half of the costs covered by the Canadian government and the other half by MCC Manitoba’s Catalyst Fund.

Kits & Comforters
When you send kits and comforters to people who are in the midst of conflict, disaster or poverty, you provide a tangible reminder that their needs matter. Find out how you can make and send kits that share God’s love with those in need.

MCC Thrift Shops
When you shop, donate or volunteer with MCC Thrift shops, you support relief, development and peace around the world.
Manitoba’s 16 shop locations are thriving thanks to the time and talent of over 1,700 volunteers. Last year, our shops contributed more than $4.2 million to MCC’s work. Join us!

Sam's Place Coffee
Sam’s Place is a coffee shop and social enterprise of MCC Manitoba located in Winnipeg’s Exchange District. Sam’s Place equips and empowers young people to overcome barriers by bridging the gap toward meaningful employment.
Your purchases support our youth program. Any money you spend at Sam’s Place – including tips – go back into supporting the youth engagement program’s needs.

Peacebuilding & Advocacy
At MCC, peace is more than a wish. It’s work. That work spans from workshops about having difficult conversations, to urban-rural dialogue on faith and farming, to advocating for climate justice.
Together, we can make a difference.

Indigenous Neighbours
The Indigenous Neighbours program helps foster healing, friendship and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Manitobans. Partnering with Indigenous organizations, we support community empowerment, advocacy and equity efforts. We also facilitate learning through educational workshops, dialogue and various educational resources on Indigenous history, rights and concerns.

Abuse Response & Prevention
Abuse Response and Prevention is a Canada-wide MCC program addressing interpersonal violence and assisting those in need. MCC Manitoba empowers churches and individuals with resources, support and knowledge for trauma-sensitive responses to abuse.
