In 2001, a missionary couple in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, handed Willan Villagomez a flyer for MCC’s International Volunteer Exchange Program, a flyer he still has today. Hear his story of how a year in Canada through IVEP – and especially his time at a retirement center in Rosthern, Saskatchewan – planted seeds for years of outreach in Brazil. “Thank you MCC,” he says, “you changed my life, but you also changed the social reality in my country.”
