Sarah Augustine is a respected Indigenous author and activist who brings a grounded, actionable, and hopeful vision for change. She's the co-founder and Executive Director of the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery. She is also the co-founder of Suriname Indigenous Health Fund (SIHF), where she has worked in relationship with vulnerable Indigenous Peoples since 2005.
On October 1 and 2, Sarah be in Waterloo Region, inviting us to imagine and take part in building peace - together.
October 1: Sarah Augustine with Adrian Jacobs of Six Nations, Shantz Mennonite Church at 7 p.m.
Sarah and Adrian will share stories and practical steps for land-based reparations and Indigenous justice, offering ways we can all take part.
October 2: Sarah Augustine with Mennonite Action, Conrad Grebel College Great Hall at 7 p.m.
Sarah and Mennonite Action will help us explore how to build peace and challenge colonialism, both in the Middle East and here at home.
Both events are free of charge but please RSVP to let us know you plan to attend. There is a capacity of 200 people at each event.
