Transforming Relationships Indigenous art space

As part of MCC’s ongoing work towards reconciliation between Indigenous and settler peoples, MCC has curated this gallery space featuring photos of artworks by Indigenous artists on the theme of Transforming Relationships.

MCC Manitoba's office is located on Treaty 1 territory, ancestral and current land of the Anishinaabe, Ininiwak/Nēhinawēwak and Dakota Nations, and the homeland of the Red River Métis. Our work and relationships extend into Treaty Territories 2 through 5, which includes the lands of the Anishininew, Dene and Inuit Nations, as well. We are grateful for their care of this land and acknowledge our responsibility to walk in right relationship with both the land and its peoples.

As Treaty 1 participants, we commit to reconciliation in our words, decisions and concrete actions in support of Indigenous-led initiatives. We partner with Indigenous-led organizations to listen, learn and support community-driven efforts for empowerment, advocacy, restoration and equity.
