More about Living Library
Join us for the MCC Living Library, where you'll have the chance to engage in meaningful 20-minute conversations with local peacemakers. This event is designed to break down barriers and build understanding by connecting people who might not usually have the opportunity to talk.
Spaces like the Living Library help foster unity and peace by bridging gaps created by fear, mistrust, and stereotypes. Each “human book” in the library shares their own personal experiences, offering unique insights into their journey as a peacemaker.
The six peacebuilders who will be ready for conversation are:
- A director of an inner-city social justice agency
- Two former MCC staff who worked in the Middle East and in Southern Africa
- A former refugee from Iraq building a new life in Saskatoon
- A Saskatoon City Councillor prioritizing community wellbeing
- A police officer passionate about community partnerships and alternatives to justice
Why Attend?
This is a great opportunity to practice active listening and gain new perspectives on building peace in our community.
