The Summer Service Leadership Program requires a commitment to work the agreed upon hours per week over the course of 10 weeks each summer. Required leadership conference Leadership Conference is a national gathering of all participants and is required. The conference will be held in Akron, PA on June 1-5, 2026 (Please note that June 1 and 5 are travel days). It counts as 1 week of the 10 week program. Leadership Conference is offered to help prepare, motivate and encourage the Summer Service Participant to engage their leadership development and community building skillsets during their summer assignment.
