Asylum

In recent years thousands of people have fled persecution and arrived to the U.S. to apply for asylum. Asylum seekers must navigate a difficult and complex process that can involve multiple government agencies. Those granted asylum can apply to live in the United States permanently, receive certain benefits, and be reunited with their family members.

In this webinar, we'll talk with MCC staff and partners from around the country, who will provide current information and educational tools to understand asylum. They will answer questions such as: How are organizations and faith communities responding? How are policies and protocols affecting those seeking asylum in the current context? And what are some ways in which each of us can get involved and better support those seeking asylum?
