Day 1: Gathering 

Kick off the retreat with a warm welcome and prayer, setting the tone for deep, honest conversations. We'll explore the importance of safety, confidentiality, and embracing diversity, acknowledging various dimensions of masculinity.

Evening Session - Listening and Sharing: Engage in deep, significant conversations about masculinity, guided by voices from different perspectives. We'll listen to narratives from women, racialized groups, non-gender-conforming groups, and non-Western white North American Christian groups about fathers, mentors, and personal experiences, fostering a space for vulnerability and reflection. And we’ll listen for our own beliefs, values, and longings as men.

Day 2: Men Talking

Gathering and breakfast

Session - Exploring Themes: Reflect on themes such as shame, honor, and responsibility, recognizing both men's failings and contributions throughout history. Dive into discussions about masculinity as a constructed concept, navigating the tension between nature and nurture.

Session - Considering the Bible: Delve into biblical passages, examining their relevance and interpretation in shaping perceptions of masculinity. Explore questions about gender roles, inclusivity, and the intersection of faith and culture.

Engage in envisioning actions and possibilities for male imagination in the present and future. Reflect on personal journeys of integrity and vision, and explore the community's role in supporting healthy masculinity.

Lunch

Session - Men Talking: Our final session will explore the depths of masculinity through deep conversations and honest reflections in a safe space. It will also provide an opportunity to envision a future of integrity, strengthand a broad embrace of our humanity. Leave feeling inspired, challenged, and equipped with insights to navigate the complexities of being men of faith in today's world.
