“Over the summer we have been collecting school supplies and sewing bags to help Mennonite Central Committee meet their challenge of 24,000 school kits gathered in August. This past Sunday, we packed 136 kits. We also have some extra supplies and bags to donate to the MCC Resource Center in Goshen. MCC does great work equipping children and youth in times of crisis with the tools they need for learning. Last year, MCC shipped 81,048 school kits to communities in Burundi, Chad, Ethiopia, Malawi, South Sudan, Ukraine, the U.S. and Zambia.”
