MCC first started work in Ukraine over 100 years ago. Since the beginning of the conflict in eastern Ukraine in 2013, MCC has worked with partners to assist internally displaced people (IDPs) and build peace.
We are accepting donations for our response to the crisis in Ukraine. We’ll be scaling up existing programs that support people made vulnerable by the situation and will be extending those services to internally displaced populations. The long-term response will likely include psycho-social support and trauma healing, temporary emergency housing and emergency distributions of locally purchased supplies.
MCC advocacy offices continue to press Canadian and U.S. governments for non-military support for peacebuilding in Ukraine and around the world.
