Dyala Naoush, with son Khaled, received a goat from MCC partner Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training in a project to lessen tension between struggling host communities and the newly arrived Syrian refugees. Sixteen of the neediest Lebanese families in the town of Baalbek received a pregnant goat and training in goat husbandry. With more than a million Syrians in Lebanon, MCC-supported efforts, intentionally trying to relieve the burden on host communities and reduce tensions, also benefit families in need from the local community.
