The Summer Service Program Intern works in collaboration with the MCC East Coast Young Adult Program Coordinator. The Intern will work with Summer Service program participants and partner churches/organizations, be responsible for daily program administration, on site visits and alumni connections. The Intern will also work at program promotion and recruitment. Public speaking in constituent settings to promote and recruit interest in the program is part of this
role.
The Intern’s primary work location will be at the MCC East Coast Ephrata Office and/or MCC East Coast Philadelphia office, with travel to East Coast Summer Service worker locations. There is also the possibility to attend Summer Service Program Orientation.
As part of this experience, the Intern will be given the opportunity to learn about the broader work of Mennonite Central Committee.
The position of Summer Service Intern is a learning/leadership development opportunity. The position will provide the framework to gain first-hand administrative experience while making a variety of contacts across the East Coast region, including Puerto Rico.
