The Mission Thrift Shop receives and sells used clothing, housewares, hardware, furniture and appliances, with its proceeds designated for MCC's work internationally and locally.

With the guidance and direction provided by the MCC BC Thrift Shop Coordinator and in collaboration with the Shop Committee, the Shop Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Thrift Shop from receiving to the retail floor, promoting and implementing MCC Thrift Shop best practices throughout the Shop. This includes providing oversight and support for approximately 7 staff and a roster of 100 volunteers, cultivating and maintaining a team approach. The Shop Manager will ensure that the shop is running in harmony with the vision and goals of Mennonite Committee and is accountable for the Shop's annual sales, revenue, expenses and net income. As such, the Manager is responsible for managing the Shop's budget and will provide input into yearly budgets in consultation MCC BC Thrift Shop Coordinator. As a key member of the Shop Committee the Manager is expected to provide vision and direction for the overall operation of the Thrift Shop, including the development of a business plan and sales goals that will meet net revenue targets.  

The Shop Manager reports to the MCC BC Thrift Shop Coordinator. The Manager is expected to work on a rotating schedule, including Saturdays, evenings and some holidays.
