Seek is an intentional discipleship programme which focuses on exposing young adults in the 18-20 age range in what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, from an Anabaptist faith perspective. The Seek Coordinator will provide leadership and assume responsibility for the spiritual direction, development and implementation of the programme. The Coordinator will maintain a well planned, carefully balanced programme throughout the year. In collaboration with the local MCC Representatives the Coordinator will develop programme goals and periodically evaluate against those goals, measuring enabling process, indicators of change and outcomes.
Part of following Christ is to serve others, thus the Coordinator will ensure there are structured service opportunities to complement the discipleship experience. The programme will include multiple service opportunities, ranging from a couple of days to a couple of weeks, and sometimes more with MCC partners in Palestine and Israel.
Although the Coordinator will report to and work in consultation with the local MCC Representative s/he will be required to carry out many tasks in a self-directed fashion. The MCC Representative will provide support to the Coordinator and the Seek programme. This will involve regular communication both via email, Skype/Teams and telephone as well as face-to-face meetings.
