The PMER Coordinator works with MCC Laos personnel and projects to ensure quality planning, monitoring, evaluating and reporting (PMER) on MCC Laos projects, while building the capacity of MCC personnel and partners towards greater sustainability. The PMER Coordinator supports the integration of peacebuilding, gender empowerment and child protection into all parts of MCC’s program as well as supporting increased coordination between projects and within projects to share expertise, training resources and PMER resources, in order to enhance impact in the community.

The PMER Coordinator is a service worker position supervised by the MCC Representative. Preference will be given to a single person, due to the visa limitations of the MCC country program.

Currently in Laos, MCC partners primarily with government to implement community development projects in four locations throughout the country. Current projects are focused on peacebuilding and conflict transformation and legal education.

The PMER Coordinator will need to learn and use MCC planning, monitoring, evaluating and reporting systems. The PMER Coordinator will need to develop a deep knowledge and understanding of projects, partner organizations, cross-cutting themes in the Lao context, and community development issues.
