MCC’s Serving and Learning Together (SALT) program is a year-long, cross-cultural experience that will give you the chance to dive deep into another culture and grow in ways you never imagined. 

SALT/YAMEN: Communications and Promotional Assistant – ANADESA

Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside ANADESA assisting the staff to promote peacebuilding, education, empowerment, and both recreational and environmental activities for children, youth, and women.

SALT/YAMEN: Communications Assistant – Pop No'j Association

Huehuetenango, Guatemala

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside Pop No'j Association in their efforts to promote reflection, analysis, research, exchange, and learning with, from, and for Indigenous Peoples.

SALT/YAMEN: Migrant Shelter Support Worker – Migrant House

Guatemala City, Guatemala

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside the Migrant House of Guatemala, assisting to provide services for migrants in transit, migrants who have been deported, and migrants who are seeking asylum or residence in Guatemala. 

SALT/YAMEN: Activities Assistant – Lajee Centre

Bethlehem, Palestine and Israel

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside Lajee Centre, a community-based grassroots creative cultural center to assist with a variety of tasks depending on their skills and experience. Tasks may include teaching English, film/video production, graphic design, music education, or advocacy.

SALT/YAMEN: Administration and Advocacy Assistant – Sabeel

East Jerusalem, Palestine and Israel

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside Sabeel, the Ecumenical Liberation Theology Centre to assist with administration and advocacy efforts. Tasks include research, assisting with publications, editing, assistance with English, and more. 

SALT/YAMEN: Communications Assistant – East Jerusalem YMCA

Beit Sahour, Palestine

The SALT/YAMENer will serve with the East Jerusalem YMCA (EJ-YMCA) to develop a communication plan enabling the promotion of their rehabilitation program to prospective and existing donors.

SALT/YAMEN: Advocacy Program Assistant–Building Community Voices

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside Building Community Voices (BCV) to assist with writing and editing grant proposals, reports, and helping staff as they advocate for and empower local communities. 

SALT/YAMEN: Christian Leadership Development Assistant – CLO

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The SALT/YAMENer will assist Continuing Learning Organization (CLO) to support bible school graduates and Christian leaders, develop a post-colonial contextual Christian theology, strengthen the local Cambodian Church, and conduct inter-faith and intra-faith dialogues.

SALT/YAMEN: Communication and Partnership Assistant – WPM

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The SALT/YAMENer will support the Executive Director of Women Peace Makers (WPM) to strengthen its branding, visibility, internal and external communication strategy, as well as identify and implement fundraising opportunities for their gender and peace programs. 

SALT/YAMEN: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant – Musalaha

Jerusalem, Palestine and Israel

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside the team at Musalaha, a faith-based organization that teaches, trains, and facilitates reconciliation.

SALT/YAMEN: Peace Advocacy Assistant – Wi’am

Bethlehem, Palestine and Israel

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside Wi’am, a grassroots organization with a focus on reconciliation and peace through the empowerment of women.

SALT/YAMEN: Peace Program Support Worker – PBO

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The SALT/YAMENer will assist Peace Bridges Organization (PBO) to grow their capacity to monitor, evaluate, and document learnings of their peacebuilding programs.

SALT/YAMEN: Radio Communications Officer – Voice of Love

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside Voice of Love Cambodia, a Christian radio station and a member of the international Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC).

SALT/YAMEN: Peace Education Assistant – EDUPAZ

Cali, Colombia

The SALT/YAMENer will serve alongside EDUPAZ to support the development and implementation of a variety of activities and workshops in areas such as human rights, prevention of sexual violence, and peacebuilding in educational, church and/or community capacities.
