Each year since 1946, MCC has sent out a mobile meat canner, which MCC workers and volunteers use to preserve hundreds of thousands of cans of meat for communities in need across the globe.

The SALT/YAMENer will walk alongside ECHO East Africa Ltd, assisting by offering skills and best practices to the staff while learning about how agriculture and community development can really work well on the ground in East Africa.
SALT/YAMEN: Agroecology Worker – ANADES

The SALT/YAMENer will serve in the sustainability program at the San Jorge Farm through ANADES (New Dawn Association of El Salvador), a grassroots community organization that works in areas of preventative health, education, economic empowerment, advocacy, and gender equality.

The SALT/YAMENer will serve with ANADESA, to help promote peacebuilding, education, empowerment, and recreational and environmental activities among the children, youth, and women in Panabaj, Tzanchaj, and Chukmuk.

The SALT/YAMENer will serve with Organization to Develop Our Villages (ODOV), helping them to extend the organization’s outreach by assisting with project fundraising and reporting, as well as researching grant opportunities.

The SALT/YAMENer will support the projects managed by Institute of Intercultural Research and Studies (INESIN), directly with those related to environmental issues and other initiatives developed by the partner.
SALT/YAMEN: Project Assistant – El Faro Home & Talita Cumi Home
Santa Cruz, Bolivia
The SALT/YAMENer will serve part time at El Faro Home, that supports adolescent mothers that have experienced sexual violence. The participant will assist with the various daily needs of these mothers and their young children.
SALT/YAMEN: Projects Assistant – Peace and Development Network
The SALT/YAMENer will serve at the Peace and Development Network (PDN) assisting two project coordinators. One coordinator manages a conservation agriculture project, and the other manages a savings and loan project.
SALT/YAMEN: Visibility & Communications Assistant – MIDI
