Synopsis: The Mennonite Quilt Center (MQC) seeks to be a friendly, caring presence in the community, showing value and respect to all. Practicing and promoting faithful stewardship and care for God’s creation and raising funds for MCC are key components to the mission. A key element of this position is the planning and implementation of MQC events.
This position is responsible for promoting the mission of MCC, relating to customers, retail relationships, community relations, donors and volunteers, class coordination, and increasing off-site sales. The employee must model nonviolent peacemaking in the workplace and community. This includes maintaining a high level of integrity, reflecting Christian respect for those we serve, including the staff and volunteers, the customers, retail relationships, and the local community. This role will require working on Saturdays, some evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.
This position adds to the ministries of Mennonite Central Committee through raising awareness and resources. This position primarily impacts the local Reedley office and community, as well as educating the constituency through communication about the work of MCC.
