The Associate Executive Director (interim) of Mennonite Central Committee U.S. is responsible for the overall leadership of the day to day operations of the relief, development and peace building work of MCC, the service agency of the Mennonite and Brethren in Christ churches in the United States. The Associate Executive Director (interim) works collaboratively with MCC Canada counterparts and assists the Executive Director in being the face and voice of MCC in the United States, speaking on behalf of MCC U.S. and building understanding and support for the mission of MCC among its increasingly diverse constituency. The Associate Executive Director (interim) encourages and engages senior MCC staff in their efforts to accomplish MCC’s mission. The Associate Executive Director (interim) serves as the Executive Director when the Executive Director is absent.
This position has been created as in interim role in order to back staff the MCC U.S. Executive Director for the time leading up to and during MCCs Centennial. This position will exist for approximately two or three years.
