The MCC Representative(s) for Ukraine will provide leadership and programmatic direction to the Ukraine program. MCC Ukraine currently works in the areas of Material Resources, Education, Health, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Peace. The Representative (Rep) will supervise an excellent team of staff that includes 5 National Staff, 1 Service Worker, and 2-3 SALT/YAMEN volunteers. The Ukraine program has increased programming and staff significantly since 2017 and is still in a period of growth and change and developing identity. A unique aspect of the Ukraine Representative role is the opportunity to relate to Mennonite churches and organizations located mostly in (or close to) Zaporizhzhia and to the organizations in North America that support some of these churches/organizations.
An MCC Rep role may be filled with a married couple sharing the role, with a single person, or with a married candidate whose spouse is not interested in a Rep role, in which case MCC would discuss possible roles for the spouse. MCC will consider a variety of options to support the Rep in their roles and responsibilities, based on the qualified candidates who apply.
