This position has been created to assist the MCC representatives in Mexico in managing programmatic responsibilities, facilitating the one-year young adult exchange programs and Learning Tours across the country with some exceptions at north border. This person will recruit, orient, and accompany one-year service program participants. This includes hiring, orienting, accompaniment to placements, visits and check-ins throughout the year, and general support. On average, there are 2-3 short term workers each year (could be more). This position also involves planning and accompanying 1-2 Learning Tours each year (could be more). It also involves effective promotion of MCC’s service programs, especially with Anabaptist churches.
The worker will support day to day operations of the MCC office as well as assist with program reporting tasks. The Connecting Peoples Coordinator and Program Assistant will be based in the MCC office in Mexico City. The worker will report to the MCC Representatives for Mexico.
