MCC East Coast (EC) seeks a hard-working, dedicated and teachable college student to serve as an intern in our Ephrata office as the Communications Sustainability Intern. They will support the work of one of MCC’s programs, the Material Resources Center (MRC) in Ephrata, PA. The MRC functions to process and ship quality material resources for MCC both domestically and internationally. Caring volunteers provide the manpower behind the MRC while taking part in MCC's ministries. The MRC also offers educational opportunities to visitors and volunteers alike. The Communications Sustainability Intern will specifically focus on providing support to this work at the MRC.
The student will be supervised by the EC Communications Director and will work closely with the MCC U.S. Communicators Network and MCC U.S. Material Resources Network.
This short-term internship is a learning and leadership development opportunity. The position will provide the framework for a student to gain first-hand communications experience, depending on the student’s strengths and interests, in the areas of writing, graphic design, marketing, social media and public speaking in a global nonprofit. The intern will also learn about the broader work of Mennonite Central Committee both in the U.S. and in the world.
This is a paid internship opportunity but must be taken for credit or to fulfill a college graduation requirement.
