MCC Great Lakes is pleased to announce the Young Adult Peace Conference taking place on November 19-22. Through hands-on experiential learning, this conference offers the opportunity for young adults (ages 18-22) to learn about Anabaptist approaches to peace.
Participants will engage through visiting local organizations, hearing speakers and reflecting with one another on the theme of Creative Nonviolence. Creativity is a fundamental part of effectively engaging violence and offering alternatives.
This year’s conference will be held in Chicago. A place sometimes known for its violence, Chicago’s incredible expressions of creative nonviolence make it an ideal location for experiential education. Join us in learning the myriad of ways we can embody the Christian call to nonviolence by engaging creativity and learning from one another.
