The United States is home to people from many religious, cultural, national, ideological, and economic backgrounds. This diversity is a source of great strength but can also be a cause of deep tension.
Join BL4P in Fresno, California for a week of learning and serving together in an interfaith, intercultural, multiracial environment. Be a part of sharing perspectives, learning about peace, and building authentic friendships that celebrate the strength of our diversity.
BL4P Peace Camps exist to invite young people living in conflict into a safe space to have conversations about peace, experience reconciliation, and serve others together. Participants are immersed in an intentionally multicultural community and take part in teaching sessions that center around celebrating diversity, catalytic leadership, collaboration, forgiveness and reconciliation. Participants then go out and serve the local community, meeting real needs through simple acts and putting peacemaking into practice.

What is the time commitment?
Orientation will begin the morning of June 27th which will be exclusively for the Christian group. In the afternoon of June 29th the rest of the participants will join the camp which will run until lunch on July 3rd. The program will be full days with optional social activities in the evening.
Is this a place to evangelize?
BL4P is a place to build relationships across boundaries, one of those boundaries being religion. We strive to create a safe and neutral place so that people feel comfortable and accepted. Participants are encouraged to be open and honest about their beliefs but this is not a place to proselytize. We hope that relationships will continue after the camp so if you feel led to urge people of other faith to adopt your faith, we ask that you do that on your own time once the camp has ended.
Are there other camps?
Yes. BL4P started their first camp in Turkey and now has camps in Iraq and Colombia as well. To learn more go to their website here.
How and when can I register?

Once you have submitted your registration you will be contacted by a BL4P representative who will talk about payment options and give you more details.
*If you cannot afford the registration fee but feel a strong desire to participate please register and the representative will work with you on other options.
