KIPCOR and MCC Central States present the film Awake: A Dream from Standing Rock

The film captures the story of Native-led defiance that forever changed the fight for clean water, our environment and the future of our planet.

Tens of thousands of people gathered at Standing Rock to join the peaceful demonstrations. Filmmakers Myron Dewey, Josh Fox and James Spione spent months on the front lines documenting North Dakota's violent response to the Peaceful water protectors.

Talk-back session to follow the film, featuring film Co-Director Myron Dewey, one of the most important journalistic voices to come out of the Standing Rock movement.

The program begins at 3pm on Sunday, January 14 in Krehbiel Auditorium in the Luyken Fine Arts Center on the Bethel College campus; the talk-back session begins immediately after the film.

This event is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
