Lift sanctions on countries facing the coronavirus pandemic

Sanctions restrict the flow of medical supplies and items essential to treating the sick and preventing the spread of COVID-19. Urge your members of Congress to lift sanctions that negatively impact civilians and impair governments’ abilities to respond to this global health crisis.

Increase funding for vulnerable populations globally

The COVID-19 pandemic will have a devastating effect on the health of countries around the world. The third stimulus package approved by Congress contains an important down payment for a global response to the disease, including $500 million for disease detection and response and more than $600 million to support vulnerable populations, particularly refugees and displaced people. However, more funding will be needed to assist the most vulnerable populations around the world, as many also face increased food insecurity, portracted conflict and violence in the midst of the pandemic.
