View MapMCC in RwandaAfrica MCC supports peace, education and HIV/AIDS prevention work through Friend's Peace House, an Evangelical Friends organization based in Kigali. With MCC funding, Friends Peace House helps former prisoners reintegrate into society by doing volunteer work, organizes women's groups with members from different sides of Rwanda's conflicts and operates a peace library. Friends Peace House also develops and supports youth and women's groups that promote HIV/AIDS prevention. MCC supports a school for street children and adolescents that is run by Friend's Peace House in Kigali. MCC also supports an organization that teaches about peace and reconciliation in Rwandan churches of various denominations.
