MCC Ontario names Rick Cober Bauman as Executive DirectorTuesday, January 15, 2008 The Board of Directors of Mennonite Central Committee Ontario is happy to announce that following an extensive search and discernment process Rick Cober Bauman has accepted the unanimous call of the Board of Directors to the position of Executive Director of MCCO. The Board is pleased to celebrate and acknowledge Ricks prior service and experience. Rick has been part of the Mennonite Central Committee community for 19 years. For the past nine years, he has served in senior management as Program Director and has been a leader in the collaborative planning processes for MCCs across Canada. Rick began his MCC experience in the Innu community of Sheshatshit, Labrador. The years were formative in his understanding of aboriginal issues, poverty, injustice and the prophetic witness of the Church. Rick has been lauded for his ability to work well in MCCs diverse constituency and looks forward to building up relationships with the various communities that support the organization. We have been fortunate to have Rick Cober Bauman as Acting Executive Director, states Margaret Nally, MCC Ontario Board Chair. He has ably managed MCC upon Arli Klassens departure for MCC Bi-national. Rick brings to his new position an inspirational style of leadership based on a firm faith, solid management skills and grassroots experience. We ask for your prayerful support for Rick and MCCO as he assumes his new responsibilities. Rick and his wife Louise are parents of three young adults and are members of Tavistock Mennonite Church, Tavistock, Ontario.
