Describe your community. What are the existing community programs and ministries of your church/organization? List three goals/outcomes for the Summer Service assignment or project. Describe 3-5 specific activities that will be performed to support those goals/outcomes. Who will be the members of a three-person Advisory Team for the Summer Service Worker? Describe how each of the three persons will interact with the Summer Service Worker. How will the supervisor provide direct on-site supervision for the Summer Service Worker on a daily and weekly basis? We recommend that direct supervisors meet one-on-one with the worker at least once a week. What, if any, other organizations will you collaborate with throughout the program? Will this program be a 20 or 40 hrs. per week program? Give an overview of what the participant’s weekly schedule will be like. (i.e., how many days per week will participant be involved in programming? Remote or in person?) Will projects that participants are involved in include interactions with minors? If so, does your church or organization have a child protection policy in place? MCC will request a copy of the child protection policy. Each org may request support from MCC in developing a child protection policy as needed. Summer Service participants will work ten weeks over the summer. MCC will sponsor two events this summer. First, Leadership Conference (June 4-8, 2024) which will be held in Denver, Colorado, and second, End of Term Gathering, which will be held in Dallas, TX (dates to be determined). These dates will be considered a paid part of the participant’s Summer Service Program.
