I knew there were big questions coming up about the future of MCC when I accepted the call to take on the role of Executive Director of MCC. I came into this role less than a year ago, knowing that I need to manage a listening and consultation change process that leads to significant agreement, from the grassroots, from all the people who care so passionately about MCC’s mission and ministry. But, I also came into this role with my own dreams and values, wanting to be true to these and yet not stopping me from hearing the wisdom of those who think differently. So, here I am – finding a balance between my own passions for MCC’s future, and working to ensure that our whole community will move in the same direction in the future, and trusting God that those will match.
