June 2009 Summit Results

On behalf of the Inquiry Task Force, we want to thank you for your continued prayer support as we reach the final stages of the New Wine/New Wineskins process.  96 participants attended the June summit that was held at Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas from June 3 – 5, 2009.  Out of that summit, two sets of statements were produced.   The Inquiry Task Force is having one more meeting on September 12/13, 2009 in Winnipeg.  The resulting vision and structure statements will then be circulated for ratification to the 12 MCC governance bodies, and denominations with representation on the national and binational governance bodies.  Please spend time in prayer and reflection as you read through these vision and structure statements, and then take a few extra moments to email us your encouragement, suggestions, questions and even concerns.

We are still listening to what you have to say.

MCC is adopting a revised set of vision and purpose statements and is preparing to restructure its international programs to allow greater involvement and administration by Anabaptist churches around the world.
