Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea)

Though seen by many as the most isolated country in the world, MCC works to build relationships, address humanitarian needs and pursue peace in North Korea and across the Korean Peninsula.

MCC supports the people of North Korea through agricultural training, food and health programs. We advocate to reduce sanctions so families can get the support they need.

Our work in North Korea

MCC first responded in North Korea following a famine in the 1990s. Since then, we’ve sent nearly $25 million in programs. Today, our focus is on agricultural training to help farmers produce more food. We also support hospital patients with food, health and WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene) programs. Through it all, we have prayed for peace to prevail.
