Schools
In Bangladesh, Global Family assistance is given to several rural schools. Funds help schools buy chalk boards and benches, construct latrines, etc., and are also used to help children buy books, pens, pencils, and clothes so they can attend school. St. Joseph's Mission is in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, a remote area of Bangladesh. The inhabitants of this region are ethnically and culturally quite different from the Bengali people, who form the majority in Bangladesh. Global Family funds provide school supplies, fees, medication, seeds for vegetable gardening and other necessities to ensure a healthy living environment. |
