Angkearhdei Primary SchoolSix dedicated staff at Angkearhdei Primary School, in rural Pea Reaing District, Prey Veng Province, serve 206 students in an isolated rice farming community. Teachers lack access to all but a small handful of outdated textbooks and students lack the necessary materials to study; entire families regularly share a single notebook. Beginning this year, Global Family funds will provide textbooks, books for a basic school library, and school supplies for the children. MCC staff will walk alongside school staff as they advocate for the students by requesting the government follow through on its previous promise of aid to rural schools. Global Family will also assist in several needed grounds improvements, including building sanitary bathroom facilities.
