This person will work at The Gioi (World) Publishing House doing final editing and polishing of first draft English translations done by others.  They will work in the English department with 10-12 multinational colleagues under the direction of the Vietnamese editor.

Durban, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa

The MCC worker will work directly with refugees at Refugee Social Services which aims to provide services for the most vulnerable groups within the refugee community.

In the village of Angkearhdei, Cambodia, MCC supports the Angkearhdei Primary School through its Global Family education sponsorship program. Students at the school work on math problems at a chalkboard. Some of the ways MCC supports the school include funding for books and teaching materials, a daily breakfast program, latrines and scholarships. Rice farming is one of the main sources of income and a primary way that people make a living in the village.

SALT/YAMEN: Teachers Assistant & Peace Club Promoter

Near Eston, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

The Teacher's Assistant & Peace Club Promoter's primary role will be to focus on the children of Hope Valley Farm School and specifically to teaching Grade R (Kindergarten) alongside a Zulu-speaking teacher and facilitating the development of a peace club for the students.

Nancy Zulu in the school ground where students come to her with their conflicts. In Kanyama and Chibolya, MCC sponsors a network of school peace clubs that work to enable students in sharing their problems, resolving conflicts and helping others to do the same.

SALT/YAMEN: Youth Peacebuilding Worker

Soroti, Uganda

A volunteer to work with youth, peacebuilding training and administrative support for a relatively new peacebuilding organization in Eastern Uganda.

MCC's Global Family education sponsorship program supports and improves schools such as Khumbula Secondary School in rural Zimbabwe.

SALT: Holy Land Institute for Deaf

Salt, Jordan

The SALT volunteer will work in Salt, a city in central Jordan approximately half an hour from Amman. The volunteer will assist at The Holy Land Institute for the Deaf, a school for deaf and deaf-blind students.

Irbid, Jordan

The SALT volunteer will work in Irbid, a city in the north of Jordan approximately one hour from Amman. The volunteer will assist at The Arab Episcopal School, a school for blind, sighted and low vision students.  For this position, a single female is preferred.
