Damascus And BeyondAn antiracism conference On March 11-13, 2005, 125 people of faith gathered in Atlanta, Georgia, to celebrate ten years of organizing through the Damascus Road Anti-Racism Process and to plan for the journey ahead. Through speakers, conversations, breakout sessions, and worship, participants were challenged to more deeply confront racism in their churches and institutions. On the final morning of the conference, participants talked together about what they had learned and how they see Damascus Road as a program and as a network incorporating this collective learning in the organizing work to come. Of primary significance was the leadership role of People of Color in antiracism work.
