MCC in Democratic Republic of Congo

MCC supports training in organizational management for Mennonite pastors and provides training in production, marketing and quality control to artisans in Kinshasa as a job creation project.

MCC supports care for AIDS orphans in Kinshasa, care for people with HIV/AIDS in Kikwit and HIV/AIDS prevention education in both cities through several partner organizations.

MCC supports peace workshops, radio broadcasts about peace and a peace newsletter in South Kivu through a partner organization, Peace and Reconciliation Council (COPARE). MCC also supports the peace work of the Mennonite Church of the Great Lakes and the Church of Christ of Congo, both of which are located in Congo's troubled eastern region.
