Honey GroveThe Honey Grove Unit is located 20 miles west of Paris, Texas, in a rural setting, amidst numerous small settlements. At the request of the local Old Colony Mennonite community, MCC is providing Forest Hill Christian School (FHCS) with a Principal and Librarian. This school serves the surrounding Old Colony Mennonite immigrant families from Mexico who speak predominantly Low German and is modeled after the Gaines County Mennonite School in Seminole, Texas. Approximately 40 students in grades 1-8 attend FHCS and are divided into multi-grade classrooms.
Ray and Nicky Peters began serving at Forest Hill Christian School in September of 2006. Ray is the principal and Nicky assists in the library and in various other capacities at the school.
