Sudanese churches are among the largest and most trusted organizations in the region.

The 10-year campaign is focused on rebuilding schools, supporting education, assisting farmers and promoting peace in southern Sudan.

Donations that exceeded projections have enabled a $7.2-million plan initiated in 2006 for special projects over three to five years.

In Saskatchewan, a Sudanese refugee, educated from funds his mother made by selling handmade baskets, now serves with Ten Thousand Villages.
