Tips for Writing Effective Letters to the Government:
Be respectful and affirm any positive action the government has taken.
Have someone else read your letter before you send it.
Make sure you send it to the right people involved with the issue.
Send copies to your MP.
Send copies to our office or others in MCC who are working on the issue.
A form letter is effective, however, expressing yourself in print and personally can be helpful
for those who receive them to understand the extent of your concern. The process can also help
you to understand and articulate your concerns.
Make sure that you include your name and contact information including address and postal code.
