MCC in Bolivia

MCC trains librarians and supports libraries in communities where many students cannot afford textbooks.

 

MCC runs an educational center for working children and gives business and household management training to women who start small businesses.

MCC runs an appropriate technology training center in Santa Cruz, which develops and promotes techniques for farming, drilling wells and constructing latrines throughout rural Bolivia.

MCC drills wells and helps improve farming techniques and land-use management in the rural communities of Moro Moro and Chuquisaca.

MCC also runs a center that serves Bolivian Old Colony Mennonites around Santa Cruz. The center promotes improved education, health care and farming practices in the colonies and publishes Menno Bote, a monthly German-language newspaper.
