A Memorial of LIVING STONESby Eleanor Epp-Stobbe December 6th is a National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women in Canada. Women and men gather to remember and lament women who are victims of violence in their own homes and communities. On December 6, 1989 a young man entered the École Polytechnique in Montreal, killed 14 women and then killed himself. We gather to remember the 14 women murdered in Montreal and to remember all women who have been violated in Canada and around the world. We gather to commit and re-commit ourselves to building non-violent communities of peace and well-being. May we covenant together to build with our lives, and the help of the Spirit, God's vision of love and justice for all.
